Nokia 6.2: Specifications and Features The Nokia 6.2 is a mid-range smartphone from HMD Global and it succeeds the Nokia 6.1 released last year, even in terms of specifications. The Nokia 6.2 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ PureView display with Always-On HDR support, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and teardrop notch. At the heart of the phone, we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset running the show, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Nokia 7.2 was launched in two variants in India- 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB, priced at Rs 18,599 and Rs 19,999, respectively. We’re expecting the Nokia 6.2 to arrive in similar variants as well. The Nokia 6.2 rocks three cameras on the rear side- a primary 16MP sensor works in tandem with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front side, we get an 8MP sensor for capturing selfies and attending video calls. The handset runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and comes with three years of software updates guarantee. It will be interesting to see if HMD Global launches the Nokia 6.2 with Android 10 out of the box in India. Other specs of the Nokia 6.2 include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3500mAh battery with two-day battery life promise. The Nokia 7.2 also features a similar battery and the battery life is incredible, so we’re expecting the same from the Nokia 6.2 as well. Similar to other smartphones from HMD Global released this year, the Nokia 6.2 also features a dedicated hardware key for Google Assistant. Nokia 6.2: Expected Pricing in India As mentioned above, the Nokia 6.2 may launch in India in two variants- 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB. Also, the Nokia 6.2 comes as a direct successor to the Nokia 6.1 and not the Nokia 6.1 Plus, so the pricing of the smartphone will not be that aggressive as HMD Global targets the offline market audience with the non-Plus smartphones. With the older chip on board and the lack of ZEISS lens, the Nokia 6.2 may start retailing at Rs 14,999 in India and it’s way too much of an asking price for a phone with Snapdragon 636 SoC. Right now, the two popular phones with Snapdragon 636 SoC- Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Redmi Note 5 Pro are available for less than Rs 8,000 in the country, so it will be a challenging task for the Nokia 6.2 to do well in the market.
